We live in a broken world due to sin, and there is no one who has not felt the impact of this brokenness. Our ministry is equipped with both staff and student leaders who are here to help lead you to deeper freedom and healing from this brokenness.
Following methods developed by the John Paul II Healing Center and the Encounter School of Ministry, our ministry will lead you to an encounter with Jesus the healer and deliverer.

Jesus the healer is still performing miracles today! Our community has seen Jesus miraculously heal everything from headaches to psoriasis to terminal cancer. While we never know how he is ultimately going to heal each disease and ailment, we love to pray with expectant faith for him to heal.

Not sure how to pray? Our prayer ministers can pray for you! They will pray for you while you simply receive the fruits of the prayer and listen to the words being shared. We listen to the voice of the father and share what we believe he is saying for you. God the Father shares words with his children that are for their upbuilding and their encouragement (1 Thess. 5:11).
Ultimately, you have the freedom to discern everything shared with you and you are not to take each word as the final word spoken by God. Using the gifts of the Holy Spirit, we simply ask for God's heart and seek clarity for his plan for your life and share what we believe he is saying for you.

Members of our staff are here to help you grow closer to Jesus. We offer guidance on how to pray, how to conform your life to Christ, and on navigating the interior life. Whether you have never prayed before and you want to start, or have had an active prayer life for years, we desire to help you take the next step and walk with you on your journey. If you can answer yes to any of the statements below, we are here to help you.
You desire to hear God the Father's voice and know His will for your life.
You need help establishing a routine for prayer and learning what to do when you sit down to pray.
You are struggling with habitual sin and you are sick of it and desire the Lord's help to overcome it.
You have started praying but you are not sure what to do next.
You have at least a somewhat consistent prayer life and you desire to get more consistent and grow deeper.
You've seen others have encounters with Jesus and you are hungry for a deeper encounter that will transform your life.
You pray, but deal with a lot of dryness in prayer.

Staff Prayer Ministers

Austin Farinholt
Austin was born and raised Catholic and has always loved Mother Church. After encountering Jesus in his early 20's and experiencing profound deliverance through interior prayer, Austin sought after God with all his heart, mind, soul and strength. He has received spiritual direction in his own life from priests and lay-people, has read extensively on interior prayer. He received a Master's Degree from Franciscan University and has been trained through the Encounter School of Ministry. He actively uses the gifts of the Holy Spirit on a daily basis for evangelization, spiritual guidance, deliverance, healing and much more.

Katie Zigadlo
After encountering Jesus deeply while in college at Christopher Newport University, Katie worked as an intern in Campus Ministry for the Diocese of Richmond where she was able to accompany students on their life of prayer. She studied scripture, prayer and the spiritual life with a religious community for two year. She received her Master's Degree from St. Joseph's College of Maine and is trained by the Encounter School of Ministry. She loves Jesus, especially his Sacred Heart, and loves especially to teach students how to hear the voice of God the Father.

Luciano Toscano
Luciano had a radical encounter with Jesus in college that changed his whole life. He received the sacrament of confirmation in his junior year and graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering thinking he would help the world by building rockets. In his gap year after college he realized Jesus had a greater calling on his life to be a missionary. Shortly after this he joined FOCUS and has been on mission since 2020. Luciano began to encounter the Holy Spirit in this gap year and on his first year of mission, which shifted his whole perspective on the church and evangelization. As a FOCUS missionary, he loves to pray with others for interior healing, help souls discover God's beautiful plans for their life, and walk with students in mentorship!

Keegan Ruddy
After encountering Jesus during his college years, Keegan served as a missionary for FOCUS and Varsity Catholic where he was able to accompany many college students in their walks with the Lord. He has been trained by the Encounter School of Ministry. He serves full time on staff as the Director of Development, raising funds for the ministry, and maintains a great love for ministering to students, alumni, and donors.

Fiona
Fiona is a Junior studying Writing, Rhetoric, and Technical Communication. She serves as our current Student Campus Minister. She grew up Catholic her whole life and encountered the Holy Spirit in a profound way at a SEEK Conference her Freshman year. She is enrolled in the Encounter School of Ministry, she leads a Bible Study for the Catholic Dukes, and is part of our Madison Worship team.

Jack
Jack is a Junior studying Physics and is from Williamsburg, VA. He started getting involved in teh Catholic Ministry during his Sophomore year after attending the SEEK24 conference and having a deep encounter with the Holy Spirit. Jack loves leading some awesome guys in his Bible study and is currently part of the Catholic student council at JMU. He has a deep love for Christ and looks forward to continuing to serve the ministry the best he can.

Sam
Sam is the current Assistant Student Campus Minister of CCM. He is a Sophomore studying Industrial Design at JMU. He loves games, hiking, and talking about God! Sam grew up in a Catholic family and is excited about Heaven and Jesus's love for his children.
