Be part of a community that lives out its faith daily! As Catholics, we believe that faith without works is empty. We act out our faith by serving others. CCM is called to provide ways to act on our Catholic faith within the JMU community, the City of Harrisonburg, and even communities in other states and countries. Each year, young people at CCM donate their time and energy toward promoting faith-based legislature, supporting the less-fortunate in our community, and helping others understand their faith better.
Our Mission is to “Demonstrate your faith to me without works, and I will demonstrate my faith to you from my works" James 2:18. Service puts this quote into action by being involved in various activities in our community.

Blood Drives - Each year CCM hosts several Red Cross blood drives. Help is needed in a number of ways from organizing donors, setting up the stations, or just donating life-giving blood.
Food Pantry - The Blessed Sacrament Food Pantry is always in need of extra workers. Whether its a one-time volunteer experience or a regular practice, they will work with our schedule to get you in whenever works with you.
Alternative Spring Breaks - Spend your Spring Break serving! Each year we take trips around the United States or abroad to work with families, children, and the homeless population.

Service Days/ Weekends - CCM leads several service days and weekends throughout the year, engaging students with various organizations in the Harrisonburg community and beyond such as Vine & Fig, First Step, and a Simple House.
Each of these activities, in addition to various others, allows us to demonstrate the Christian love to those we serve.
